Paternoster Rack - The classic paternoster principle with modern technology

Long search times, unused storage space, and hard-to-reach containers are a thing of the past with the paternoster rack. The automated revolving rack brings the stored containers to the output opening at the push of a button in just a few seconds, making it optimal for setup and picking stations.

The main advantages at a glance

Do these challenges in warehousing sound familiar to you?

Long distances instead of quick actions

Your staff must walk through the hall to the warehouse multiple times a day, constantly interrupting their workflow.

Warehouse chaos

Relevant work materials are stored in different locations, and your staff lose time searching daily.

Wasted space

You do not utilize the hall height and block areas needed directly at the workplace.

Physical strain

Staff must unnecessarily often lift and rearrange heavy parts – this costs energy and endangers health.

LPL Paternoster Rack: This is what the paternoster principle is ideal for

The paternoster rack is an automated revolving rack where the carriers circulate in a closed loop. In comparison: the apple storage tower stores the individual trays on both sides in a 25 mm grid over a centrally running extractor.
While the paternoster rack is ideal for consistent containers, the storage tower adapts flexibly to the storage goods via the integrated height measuring grid.
If you want to store small parts in fixed containers with long-term consistent dimensions at a high access frequency, the paternoster is the perfect choice.
If your storage goods or their dimensions and weight frequently change, you should consider an intelligent storage tower.

Here's how you, too, can benefit from a paternoster rack

More storage space on minimal footprint

A paternoster rack optimally utilizes the room height while requiring only a small footprint. This way, you create significantly more storage capacity even in limited space.

Access in seconds at the push of a button

The desired tray is automatically driven to the control opening. Your staff accesses the storage goods directly without detours.

Cost and time savings

Fewer paths, fewer errors, less downtime – for more speed, transparency, and process clarity.

Better organization and stock transparency

All carriers are clearly labeled and well-structured. This way, you can keep track of your inventory at all times.

Reduced picking times and less searching effort

FAQ: frequently asked questions

How does a carousel shelf differ from a storage tower?
The carousel operates on a circulating principle with fixed carrier heights. The storage tower stores using an intelligent extractor and utilizes the height more flexibly.
If the dimensions of the containers are constant, the shelf depth is limited, or very fast access is required, a carousel is often the better choice.

Up to 9.1 m² of storage space per carrier is possible. This often represents a multiplication of the previous capacity in the same area.

The carriers can be reduced in height with intermediate shelves. However, a carousel shelf is more suitable for consistent container sizes.

Yes. The carousel shelf can be linked with warehouse management systems and supports automated inventory management.

Simply by pressing a button, optionally also via touchscreen or app. The carousel shelf automatically brings the desired carrier to the ergonomic retrieval height.
